Culinary services

culinary services

We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy, well-balanced diet during the healing process. We also understand that your appetite and tastes may change during cancer treatment.

The culinary team at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Philadelphia provides healthful, specially prepared meals to suit your culinary desires and selective tastes.

Nutritious meals

You won’t find typical hospital food at CTCA® in Philadelphia. With each meal, you will find a selection of delicious choices, including a variety of meat and fish dishes, whole grains and seasonal fruits and vegetables. We also offer soup choices daily, a salad bar and a fresh juice bar.

Some of the unique cuisine stations available in our dining room include:

  • Soothing selections: Cancer treatments may cause patients to be more sensitive to spices. You can add your own spices to suit your tastes. This may make a big difference if you have experienced taste changes or have difficulty eating.
  • Gluten free: Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye and barley. If you are sensitive to gluten, it may cause indigestion, pain and/or diarrhea. We offer gluten-free options daily.

A sample lunch menu includes:

  • Seared salmon with basil pesto
  • Curried quinoa
  • Balsamic glazed mushrooms

We offer menu items at a competitive price for you and your caregivers. Additional, affordable options are available in Ricardo’s Cafe & Bistro.
