Uterine cancer care

DISCOVER THE CTCA DIFFERENCE IN PERSONALIZED CANCER TREATMENT

At Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), we understand the complexity of uterine cancer, and our mission is to put you at the center of your care.
We’ll work with you to develop a comprehensive treatment plan personalized to your individual needs, goals and preferences. Our gynecologic oncologists are trained and experienced in all types and stages of uterine cancer, from diagnosing the disease, to treating it and managing its side effects, to survivorship. Your treatment plan may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or hormone therapy, as well integrative care services designed to help manage side effects like fatigue, nausea and neuropathy so you can maintain your quality of life.

How are we different?

Urgency

Appointments are available in as little as 24 hours, and many treatment plans are developed within 48 hours of a patient’s first visit.

Convenience

We’ll take care of gathering your relevant medical records and making your transportation, travel and lodging arrangements.

Expertise

We have the expertise to confirm a diagnosis or treatment plan and offer options that may not have been considered. We can also assess your risk of recurrent cancer.

Gynecologic cancer focus

Uterine cancer is such an important focus at CTCA® that each of our hospitals has a Gynecologic Cancer Center dedicated to treating patients with all types and stages of the disease. The multidisciplinary teams at each of our centers are singularly focused on diagnosing and treating gynecologic cancers using standard-of-care and, when appropriate, innovative precision medicine treatments. They can also help provide fertility-sparing options, when possible, for women who want to preserve their ability to have children.

Comprehensive team approach

Your uterine cancer care team works all under one roof. That means you have access to state-of-the-art cancer treatments and supportive care therapies all in one location. Your team is will be led by a fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist, and your treatment plan is coordinated by a care manager dedicated to orchestrating your schedule, communicating with the rest of your care team, getting your questions answered and helping you access your test results in a timely manner. Your care team may also include a medical, surgical and/or radiation oncologist, a genetic counselor, an interventional radiologist, oncology nurses and a variety of supportive care providers, including a pelvic floor therapist.

Whole-person care

Our doctors work with supportive care providers to deliver evidence-informed therapies designed to address the symptoms of uterine cancer and the side effects of treatment. Some uterine cancer patients experience gastrointestinal symptoms, issues with sexual function and neuropathy. Our patients can meet with an oncology-trained dietitian, who may recommend a personalized nutrition plan to address gastrointestinal issues; a pelvic floor therapist, who can help manage sexual dysfunction; and an oncology rehabilitation provider to help reduce pain from nerve damage. The goal of integrative care is to keep you strong so you can better tolerate your treatments and maintain your quality of life.

Access to clinical trials

Clinical trials are critical tools researchers and doctors use to determine the safety and effectiveness of new drugs and therapies. At CTCA, we’re committed to offering our patients innovative and new cancer treatments, including access to clinical trials when appropriate. These trials may provide therapies that are not yet widely available to qualified patients who have exhausted conventional treatment options or whose cancer is advanced or difficult to treat. Our cancer doctors and researchers will work with you to determine whether you qualify for a trial and, if so, help you enroll.
