Cancer documentary airing soon on PBS: Decades after his own mother battled cancer, award-winning documentarian Ken Burns is bringing to public television a film version of Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer. The film, executive produced by Burns, will chronicle the history of cancer, current research and patient experiences. Similarly titled CANCER: The Emperor of All Maladies, the documentary will air on PBS for three nights: at 9 p.m Eastern on March 30-31 and April 1. CTCA is providing funding for the project.
