At CTCA at Western Regional Medical Center (Western), you and your caregivers can participate in various activities and classes to help you relax and enjoy your stay as much as possible while going through treatment.
You will be assigned a patient advocate who meets with you during your initial visit. Patient advocates strive to ensure that you are satisfied with your experience and that your questions are answered. This person possesses a wealth of information to assist you with anything you need.
We understand that it can be difficult to be away from home during the cancer treatment process. To make your visit as pleasant as possible, we offer organized outings every month and a shopping shuttle every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
On the second floor of the hospital, you will find the patient library stocked with numerous leisure books. You may take a book and return it at your convenience. If you are in the middle of a book and you are going back home between treatments, we encourage you to continue reading it at home. The library also provides computers and a printer. It is open 24 hours, every day of the week.
