Mark Kharoufeh, RN, BSN is the Assistant Vice President of Oncology Patient Services at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Western Regional Medical Center (Western). He oversees several departments, including the Outpatient Oncology Clinics, Care Management, New Patient Experience, Nurse Navigation, the Advanced Practitioner Team and Internal Medicine Clinic.
Under Mr. Kharoufeh’s leadership, Western received accreditation from the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) Certification Program, an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The QOPI Certification Program provides a three-year certification for outpatient hematology-oncology practice.
At Western, Mr. Kharoufeh has served in roles as Assistant Vice President of Nursing, Director of Nursing Clinical Services, Director of Infusion, Inpatient and Surgical Services, and Manager of Infusion Services. Prior to joining Western in 2009, he served as a pediatric intensive care nurse and nurse manager at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Mr. Kharoufeh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix. He is currently working on a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science and Nursing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
He is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the Phoenix Oncology Nursing Society.
