Alan Swain is Assistant Vice President of General Services at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Western Regional Medical Center (Western). He joined CTCA in July 2008. His previous roles at CTCA have included providing administrative support and leadership to Plant Operations, Safety/Security, Environmental Services, Clinical Engineering and Construction. Additionally, Mr. Swain provided construction oversight during construction of Western, the country’s first all-digital cancer hospital.
Mr. Swain came to CTCA with 18 years of experience in health care facilities/support services and construction management. Before joining CTCA, Mr. Swain worked at Abrazo health care, affiliated with VanGaurd Health Systems. Throughout his career at Abrazo he obtained the roles of Lead Electrician, Facilities Supervisor and as Support Services Director.
Mr. Swain is a member of numerous organizations, including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Health Care division, Central Arizona Society of Health Care Engineers (CASHE) and International Facilities Management Association (IFMA). He also sits on the Board of Directors for Arizona Assistance in Health Care.
Mr. Swain and his wife Stacey reside in Peoria, Arizona and have volunteered much of their time supporting and coaching youth sports in the West Valley. For fun, the Swain’s enjoy going on family vacations with their two children and supporting the Arizona Cardinals.
