About two-thirds of CTCA patients (or about 70 percent) travel to one of our facilities from another state. Many patients will travel hundreds of miles to reach CTCA at Western Regional Medical Center.

If you are one of many who will come from out of town, our representatives will handle all of the details for you, including your air travel, transportation and lodging arrangements. We strive to make your visit as easy, convenient and stress-free as possible.

Upon your arrival, our transportation staff will greet you at the airport, handle your luggage, and drive you to the hospital and/or your hotel. Throughout your visit, they will be on hand to drive you to and from the hospital and around town.

By Car

Getting to the hospital from Phoenix is simple. Take Interstate 10 west to Litchfield Road and head south. It’s about a half-hour drive from downtown Phoenix.  I-10 offers easy access to much of the Phoenix area, as it loops around the city and spans both west and south.

Follow signs to patient parking and check in at the front desk. A patient advocate will be there to welcome you.

By Plane

If you are arriving by plane, a transportation representative will meet you at baggage claim wearing a CTCA nametag and holding up a sign with your name. The hospital is about 25 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, straight on I-10 East.

The airport offers nonstop service to more than 85 cities in the United States. There are 41 nonstop services to 11 of the 13 Western states (excludes Wyoming and Montana). There are 23 domestic and international airlines in operation.

Travel Policy

CTCA offers, to those who qualify, free roundtrip airline tickets and transportation to and from the airport and the hospital. If you qualify for the Patient Travel Program but prefer to drive, we will reimburse you for the miles. Please note:  If you are a beneficiary of a government health insurance program, such as Medicare, CTCA is not permitted to provide these travel benefits.
