Dr.
Shildt earned a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency and internship at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss,
Texas. He also completed a hematology/oncology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Houston, where he later served as Assistant Chief of Oncology for four years.
Before joining the multidisciplinary care team at Western, Dr. Shildt spent nearly 10 years in private practice at Cancer Care Associates in Tulsa. He also served in professorial positions at both the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, he has coauthored articles in numerous oncology publications.
Dr. Shildt is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He is also a United States Army veteran.
