"I joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America because it gave me the chance to work with alternative therapies and traditional medicine in the same hospital. I have also witnessed a great deal of cancer with my family and close friends, and this is a way for me to give back to others."

Massage Therapist
Massage Therapist Patricia Schloe, LMT, LPN, joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Western Regional Medical Center (Western) in November of 2011.
With 15 years of experience and a nursing background, Schloe’s main goal for her patients is to reduce stress. “I feel that the massage appointment is the best spot for CTCA patients to come and relax,”
says Schloe. “They don’t have to give anything of themselves; it is totally for them and their well-being.”
Schloe earned a master’s degree in therapeutic massage from Southwest Institute of Healing
Arts in Tempe, Arizona, and a master’s degree in holistic counseling from the University of Metaphysics in California. In addition to focusing on massage therapy, Schloe has introduced tuning fork therapy at
Western, and conducted a Patient Focus Group and Lunch & Learn in order to demonstrate the methodology of using this type of therapy for self-care.
Prior to joining CTCA, Schloe spent 15
years as a massage therapist in private practice. Before that, she worked as a nurse for the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ.
Schloe has two children and one grandchild, and in her free time she
enjoys joining her family at the movies, beach or museums.
