An experienced gynecologist/gynecologic surgeon at our Arizona hospital, Dr. Brian Acord works in collaboration with our oncologists to develop personalized treatment plans for patients who are fighting gynecologic malignancies, including cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancers.
“Above all, I enjoy our patients,” says Dr. Acord. “I also enjoy the way we treat the whole person, and not just the cancer.”
He adds, “Nowhere else but at Cancer Treatment Centers of America can I offer patients so many treatment modalities. A Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Acord earned a medical degree from University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He completed an obstetrics/gynecology internship and residency at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California.
Prior to pursuing a medical degree, Dr. Acord served in the United States Air Force and completed a bachelor’s degree at California State University, Sacramento.
Dr. Acord practiced obstetrics and gynecology for nearly 30 years in private and group practices in California and Arizona. He joined our integrated team of treatment providers in January 2011.
Dr. Acord likes spending time with his family, as well as gardening, cooking, fishing, pheasant hunting, and traveling.
