Care Pods
As a cancer patient at CTCA at Western Regional Medical Center, you will experience continuity of care among your physicians, care managers, and other clinicians with our unique "Care Pod" system.
There are six Care Pods in the hospital. When you first arrive at the hospital, you will be taken to your own Care Pod for your first intake appointment in the clinic. Your Pod will include the same exam room where you will meet with the same medical oncologist, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, and care manager each time you come to the clinic.
The Care Pod system means you stay in one room and the members of your care team come to you. It truly is patient-centered care.
