Patient Empowered Care®
As a cancer patient at CTCA at Western Regional Medical Center, you will experience continuity of care among your physicians, care managers, and other clinicians in our Patient Empowered Care® clnic.
When you first arrive at the hospital, you will be taken to the clinic for your first intake appointment in the clinic. You and your caregiver stay in one exam room, where you will meet with the your medical oncologist, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, dietitian, naturopathic clinician and care manager each time you come to the clinic.
The Patient Empowered Care system means you stay in one room and the members of your care team come to you. It truly is patient-centered care.
