Dr. Daniel Nader: Brachytherapy is internal radiation that we can give to the lung and tumors that block off bronchial tubes. When tumors block up bronchial tubes it can be very devastating. It could cause shortness of breath, cough, coughing of blood and pneumonia, and by relieving that obstruction we can relieve the pneumonia, relieve the coughing of blood, improve shortness of breath and relieve cough.
