Dr. Steven Standiford: Some of the latest advancements in treating cancer with surgery that we’ve incorporated here at Cancer Treatment Centers of America include partial breast irradiation for breast cancer. Where a woman who previously after her lumpectomy would have to have six weeks of daily radiation treatment now can come in and have twice daily treatments through a special device that’s left in at the time of the lumpectomy, over the course of one week and in ten treatments over five days complete all the radiation treatment that she needs. This is really helpful for someone who’s far away from home, rather than having to spend six weeks getting daily treatments which disrupts your life for six weeks. In really one week all her breast cancer treatment gets done.

Real Patients. Real Stories. Real Hope.

Do these videos feature real cancer patients?

Yes, the videos in this section feature real CTCA survivors with real stories to tell. These are not actors. They are cancer patients who came to CTCA and emerged as survivors. These stories are not scripted. They are personal accounts of people who found hope, and a voice, at CTCA. This is what they have to say, in their own words...

Why are some, not all, cancer types listed?

At CTCA, we treat individuals with a variety of cancer types. However, all of our survivors are not on film. If you don't see a survivor with the cancer type you're looking for, it only means we do not have a video at this time.

Keep in mind, we are continuously adding videos to this section. If you don't see the one you're looking for today, visit us again, or let us know how we can improve.
