Navigational Bronchoscopy
This medical animation illustrates how navigational bronchoscopy is used to help doctors to find and reach tumors located in the periphery of the lungs, where smaller bronchi are not wide enough to permit passage of a normal bronchoscope. With navigational bronchoscopy, doctors can find lung tumors, take biopsies and administer treatment.
The animation explains how the procedure is performed and identifies some of its benefits to lung cancer patients.
