Treatments - Infusion Center at Southwestern

Chemotherapy is a staple of many cancer patients' treatment plans at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). In this video, Dr. Sagun Shrestha, a medical oncologist at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center, shares why the hospital's Infusion Center is such a benefit for patients undergoing chemotherapy. The Infusion Center, which is where cancer patients receive chemotherapy, is open 24 hours a day.

Dr. Sagun Shrestha: Another thing which was interesting was they had the 24 hours infusional chemotherapy unit. Not many places in the country there I think they have it where the patient can even get chemotherapy during the night and if they want to work, go somewhere, do something during the day, that’s fine. I mean they can sleep over at night and just get the chemo and have a regular life.

Real Patients. Real Stories. Real Hope.

Do these videos feature real cancer patients?

Yes, the videos in this section feature real CTCA survivors with real stories to tell. These are not actors. They are cancer patients who came to CTCA and emerged as survivors. These stories are not scripted. They are personal accounts of people who found hope, and a voice, at CTCA. This is what they have to say, in their own words...

Why are some, not all, cancer types listed?

At CTCA, we treat individuals with a variety of cancer types. However, all of our survivors are not on film. If you don't see a survivor with the cancer type you're looking for, it only means we do not have a video at this time.

Keep in mind, we are continuously adding videos to this section. If you don't see the one you're looking for today, visit us again, or let us know how we can improve.
