Cancer Practitioners - Carolyn Lammersfeld
In this video, Carolyn Lammersfeld, Director of Nutrition and Metabolic Support at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, discusses her role as a nutrition "coach" for CTCA ovarian cancer survivor Lori Warchol:
"Lori is someone I have known the whole time I've been with CTCA. She wanted to be able to do what she was used to doing, to come for treatment and then be able to do her daily activities of life. With her, my role was really more of a coach. I provided positive reinforcement and coaching, and then just made minor suggestions as things developed throughout her treatment."

I am responsible for coordinating the nutrition program at our facility making sure patients are taken care of nutritionally during their treatment. The first time a patient comes to our facility we do a very comprehensive nutritional assessment to see where they are with their nutritional status.
