Dr. Edgar Staren: Part of my responsibility as a chief medical officer, part of my colleagues responsibility as vice presidents of clinical research, national directors and medical directors is to always being out searching out the new technologies. “What’s the best new diagnostic modality, what’s the best new treatment modality?” And bringing that back to our patients.

We would certainly want o do that for a family member. We apply a standard called the mother-standard here so that we’re treating patients as we would a family member - a mother, father, brother, sister. That’s what you’d want for your family member; you’d want to have the availability of that state-of-the-art type therapies.

Real Patients. Real Stories. Real Hope.

Do these videos feature real cancer patients?

Yes, the videos in this section feature real CTCA survivors with real stories to tell. These are not actors. They are cancer patients who came to CTCA and emerged as survivors. These stories are not scripted. They are personal accounts of people who found hope, and a voice, at CTCA. This is what they have to say, in their own words...

Why are some, not all, cancer types listed?

At CTCA, we treat individuals with a variety of cancer types. However, all of our survivors are not on film. If you don't see a survivor with the cancer type you're looking for, it only means we do not have a video at this time.

Keep in mind, we are continuously adding videos to this section. If you don't see the one you're looking for today, visit us again, or let us know how we can improve.
