Dr. Leon Yoder: The symptoms of stomach cancer are very subtle. Meaning that, at first, you may not even know you have any problem. It may be coming on just like a simple stomach pain, saying that I ate something bad and it'll go away. But oftentimes, with stomach cancer, it doesn't go away. The symptoms of pain in your stomach will continue. And you take antacids or you may take something to alleviate the acid in your stomach. It may relieve it for a little bit but it comes right back. All of a sudden, then you notice that eating makes it worse, and you stop eating as much. And what happens then, you start losing weight. So with pain, weight loss, not wanting to eat are the very first signs of stomach cancer.

Real Patients. Real Stories. Real Hope.

Do these videos feature real cancer patients?

Yes, the videos in this section feature real CTCA survivors with real stories to tell. These are not actors. They are cancer patients who came to CTCA and emerged as survivors. These stories are not scripted. They are personal accounts of people who found hope, and a voice, at CTCA. This is what they have to say, in their own words...

Why are some, not all, cancer types listed?

At CTCA, we treat individuals with a variety of cancer types. However, all of our survivors are not on film. If you don't see a survivor with the cancer type you're looking for, it only means we do not have a video at this time.

Keep in mind, we are continuously adding videos to this section. If you don't see the one you're looking for today, visit us again, or let us know how we can improve.
