In this video, medical oncologist Dr. Simeon Jaggernauth briefly discusses treatments for advanced prostate cancer.
Dr. Simeon Jaggernauth: For patients with advanced prostate cancer, there are many options available, from chemotherapeutic agents directly targeting the tumors themselves to those who may benefit from radiation. There are specific agents available to target boney metastasis, such as samarium, which is a radio-targeted agent for prostate cancer. Some patients may benefit from hormone therapy. Some patients may not even need any chemotherapy. It really all depends on how advanced the disease is and what type of disease that you have. So those patients with a very advanced form of prostate cancer may benefit from an integrated approach to treatment.

At CTCA, we treat individuals with a variety of cancer types. However, all of our survivors are not on film. If you don't see a survivor with the cancer type you're looking for, it only means we do not have a video at this time.
