Tumor molecular profiling for uterine cancer
If you have surgery or a biopsy, we’ll collect a sample of your uterine cancer tumor. Then, we’ll use tumor molecular profiling to test for the presence of a variety of enzymes and genetic mutations to identify which therapies are more likely to have a positive impact.
- By testing the uterine cancer chemotherapy drugs outside of the body, your care team may determine whether the drugs are more likely to have a positive impact if administered in the body, thereby helping to avoid unnecessary toxicity to you.
- This service also helps your care team determine combinations of chemotherapy to use for your particular type of uterine cancer.
