Uterine Cancer Treatment: Fractionated-Dose Chemotherapy
Fractionated-dose chemotherapy is recognized for its ability to help mitigate treatment side effects. It is a method of receiving chemotherapy for uterine cancer available at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA).
The conventional way of administering chemotherapy is to dispense the chemo drug in a single, large dose. Yet, with fractionated-dose chemotherapy, your full dose of chemotherapy is distributed in smaller amounts over a longer period of time (three to five days). By more gently introducing the anticancer drugs to your body, fractionated-dose chemotherapy can minimize side effects of uterine cancer treatment, in particular nausea and vomiting.
