Video: ChemotherapyLearn about CTCA's advanced chemotherapy treatment methods to treat many different forms of cancer.
Chemotherapy uses drugs to destroy cancer cells and tumors in the body. We combine weekly chemo treatments with two types of radiation therapy: external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
Treatment Options for Recurrent Uterine Cancer
Many of our patients have received prior chemotherapy treatment for uterine cancer. Our medical oncologists treat uterine cancer with an aggressive and creative approach, trying different chemotherapy drug combinations when standard therapy is not enough.
We perform tumor molecular profiling to help us identify drugs that are more likely to be effective so we can provide more focused uterine cancer chemotherapy treatments from the start.
We Help You Manage Side Effects
To help manage or prevent chemotherapy side effects, like nausea, vomiting and fatigue you’ll have access to a variety of supportive therapies during your uterine cancer treatment at CTCA. We take an aggressive and proactive approach to supporting your health, so you can continue uterine cancer chemotherapy. Practitioners from nutrition therapy, naturopathic medicine, and mind-body medicine will work with you and your oncologist to develop the best treatment plan for you.
Our Infusion Center is designed to be a relaxing and friendly place, where you decide how to spend your time during your chemo treatments. You can sit with loved ones, read a book, or take a nap in a private room. You can also receive supportive therapies during chemotherapy, such as massage, guided imagery or relaxation techniques.
