Testicle Cancer Statistics
In the year 2000, an estimated 7,600 cases of testicle cancer were diagnosed in the U.S. The incidence of testicle cancer is highest in Denmark, and lowest in the Far East. Disturbingly, the incidence of testicle cancer around the world has basically doubled in the past 30-40 years. However, the cure rate in testicle cancer has risen dramatically over that same time period. In 1970, ninety percent of men with metastatic testicle cancer died of the disease. By 1990, with the introduction of chemotherapy drugs, the ratio has reversed, with about ninety percent of men who have metastatic testicle cancer surviving.
