At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), we use tumor molecular profiling to determine which chemotherapy drugs may work best to treat your stomach tumor.
If you have a solid tumor, we’ll try to get a sample of tissue during a biopsy or surgery. Then, we’ll test for the presence of a variety of enzymes, proteins and genes to identify which therapies are likely to be most effective.
By comparing the tumor's information with data from thousands of clinical cancer research studies, tumor molecular profiling allows us to identify which treatments are likely to be most effective and which treatments are likely to be ineffective. This provides us with better information to develop your personalized stomach cancer treatment plan.
