Our spinal cancer experts

If you have primary or metastatic spinal cancer, it’s important to be seen by an integrated team of physicians with expertise in treatments for the nervous system and its supporting structures, including the brain, spinal cord and column, and peripheral nerves

At Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), you’ll have a dedicated team of oncologists, neurosurgeons and other specialists, all of whom work onsite and regularly discuss your treatment plan. Your care team may include the following clinicians:

  • Neurosurgeon
  • Neurologist
  • Medical oncologist
  • Radiation oncologist
  • Anesthesiologist
  • Dietitian
  • Naturopathic clinician
  • Pain management practitioner
  • Rehabilitation therapist
  • Mind-body therapist
  • Pastoral care provider

Your care team meets each week to discuss the progression of your treatment as it relates to your specific medical, nutritional, emotional and spiritual needs. This allows our spinal cancer experts to share in your progress and improve the quality of your treatment and care.

You will also be assigned a personal care manager (a registered nurse) who will follow you from your first visit to our hospital, throughout your spinal cancer treatment, and after treatment is complete.
