As Reverend Michael Langham, Director of Pastoral Care at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center will tell you, one of the strongest medicines is hope. He believes hope is as critical to spiritual healing as conventional treatments are to physical recovery. His team is dedicated to helping create an atmosphere conducive to healing and recovery for you and your family.

Rev. Langham is supported by a staff of four chaplains, all of whom have received denominational endorsement and two of whom are certified grief and bereavement counselors. The entire team takes their commitment to your spiritual needs very seriously. Rev. Langham and the pastoral care team also provide spiritual support through the Our Journey of Hope® Program, a spiritual outreach program and website for cancer patients and their families.

In 1995, Rev. Langham earned a bachelor’s degree in pastoral care from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa and a standard teaching diploma from the Evangelical Training Association in Wheaton, Illinois. He is a certified grief and bereavement facilitator. He received clinical pastoral education credits at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Rev. Langham is a member of the United States Chaplains Association, the American Academy of Bereavement and the Grief Recovery Institute.

Active in ministry since 1984, Rev. Langham has served as an associate pastor at churches in Kentucky and Oklahoma and is currently head of membership care ministry at From The Heart Church Ministries in Tulsa. Additionally, he speaks on a variety of cancer-related and spiritual topics on TV and radio, and at conferences.
