Lisa Baldwin, MD

Hospitalist

Southwestern Regional Medical Center

"I chose to join the Cancer Treatment Centers of America team because of the atmosphere and how well the doctors work together. It is rewarding to take care of patients as part of a team. And it’s great for patients and their caregivers because we offer diagnostic testing and cancer treatments in one place."

Dr. Lisa Baldwin says there are several reasons why Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is different from most hospitals. All of these factors influenced her decision to join our integrated team of care providers at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center in April 2011.

"The positive attitude of the employees at CTCA is wonderful,” notes Dr. Baldwin. “You can ask any person from any department to help you, and they are always willing to help. Things are done in a timely manner, and the people that work here truly want the best for each patient.”

Dr. Baldwin is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She earned a medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where she graduated with distinction. She went on to complete the university’s internal medicine residency program. Before pursuing a medical degree, Dr. Baldwin received a bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology-sonography from the University of Oklahoma.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Baldwin takes on the role of a primary care physician for patients who are hospitalized during treatment at our hospital. She helps coordinate inpatients’ general care and sees that their medical needs are continually met.

“My number one goal is to try to help them feel better,” says Dr. Baldwin. “I hope when they leave the hospital they have a good experience and feel more educated about their disease, and know that we care about them.”

Previously, Dr. Baldwin served as a hospitalist and internal medicine physician at various Oklahoma healthcare facilities. She also was the Director of Ultrasound Services for a prenatal assessment center.

Dr. Baldwin is a member of the Tulsa County Medical Society, Oklahoma State Medical Association and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

A mother of two, she spends much of her spare time with her young children. She also enjoys gardening, swimming and scuba diving.
