As an undergraduate, Dr. King studied microbiology, obtaining his bachelor of science degree from the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, in 1998. He attended Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Tulsa, where he obtained his doctor of osteopathic medicine and surgery degree in 2005. Subsequently he completed an internship and residency in anesthesiology at Oklahoma State University Medical Center, also in Tulsa. He served as chief resident from 2008 to 2009.
In 2012, Dr. King became an anesthesiologist with Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
Dr. King is certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. He is board certified in anesthesiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, and the Oklahoma Society of Anesthesiology.
