Registered and licensed dietitian Brooke McIntyre strives to help cancer patients improve their quality of life. At CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center, she provides nutrition consultations, assessing patients for nutritional risks, and offers customized, evidenced-based nutrition recommendations and information to patients.
McIntyre works on a dedicated care team, alongside oncologists, a naturopathic oncology provider, care manager, registered nurse and other clinicians.
McIntyre earned a bachelor’s degree in food and human nutrition from the University of Arkansas. She went on to complete a dietetic internship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. As part of her internship, McIntyre shadowed dietitians at CTCA. She was so inspired by her experience and the people she met, she became part of our integrated team of doctors and other clinicians in March 2011.
“CTCA stood out to me because of the individualized care and hope patients receive,” she adds.
McIntyre belongs to the American Dietetic Association and the Tulsa District Dietetic Association, Oncology Practice Group.
McIntyre loves spending her spare time with her family and their dog Moose. She is also an avid runner, cook and reader.
