About two-thirds of our patients come from out of state. One reason is because we make it easy to get here.
If you decide to travel to Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center (Southwestern) for treatment, our Transportation Department works closely with our travel accommodations coordinators to make your trip as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Prior to your arrival at Southwestern, our representatives will coordinate all of the details for you, from your air travel to lodging arrangements to anything else you may need.
If you're traveling from out of town, we'll pick you up from the airport. During your stay, we'll take you to offsite medical appointments and special outings.
Our transportation team
The transportation team consists of friendly and reliable transportation representatives, who understand that you may be apprehensive about traveling. The transportation team is here to help you feel comfortable and relaxed.
If you travel to CTCA® by plane, you'll need to head to the airport baggage claim area, where a friendly CTCA transportation team member (your driver) will pick you up. A CTCA airport shuttle arrives every hour on the hour mark. Our drivers will know you are coming and will be holding a sign with the CTCA logo on it when they arrive. Once you identify yourself to the driver, he or she will assist you in loading your luggage in a clean and comfortable vehicle and take you directly to our hospital where you will check in to your guest room.
We also offer a free shuttle service, on a designated schedule, that will take you and your caregivers to restaurants, malls, museums and other local spots (i.e., Woodland Hills Mall, Super Wal-Mart, Target, etc.). Our transportation team also makes home pickups in nearby towns within a 20-mile radius.
