At CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center (Southwestern), you and your caregivers can participate in various activities and classes to help you relax and enjoy your stay as much as possible while going through treatment.
When you arrive, a patient advocate will meet with you to answer any questions you may have and review information you’ll need to know as you begin your cancer treatment.
Throughout your treatment, we offer activities such as arts and crafts, knitting, sewing and cooking. The Education Department also holds classes on various cancer-related topics.
In addition, our Pastoral Care Department conducts worship and prayer services throughout the week. Every Thursday night, music, worship and singing teams from local churches present Singspiration—a special hour-long song service.
We also host other after-hours activities, such as ice cream socials, Bingo night, game nights, off-campus outings, musical events, holiday parties and presentations by authors of books on cancer-related topics. Our activity room offers a big-screen TV, where a movie night is held each week. In our second activity room, you can unwind and play a game of pool.
In addition, every Saturday, the Transportation Department offers outings to local attractions and events, such as boat and RV shows and Tulsa-area flea markets.
