Improving Quality of Life During Cancer Treatment

We want you to live your life as fully as possible during cancer treatment and into recovery.
We know that when side effects persist, it can impact more than your treatment schedule. Cancer-related side effects and other chronic health issues can significantly diminish your quality of life.
CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center offers the Quality of Life Center to help you proactively manage any side effects, along with other health issues and concerns (e.g., pain, nausea, diabetes, blood pressure problems), that may arise during your treatment.
The Team
The Quality of Life Center is fully staffed with a team of physicians and medical support staff, including: a pain management physician, pain nurses, internal medical physicians, registered nurses, a naturopathic clinician, a registered dietitian, a nurse practitioner, and a pharmacist.
The team regularly communicates with your entire CTCA care team to ensure you receive immediate and continual symptom management throughout your treatment.
Appointments
To access the services of the Quality of Life Center throughout your treatment, you can either go directly to the center or have your care manager or a nurse make an appointment for you. When you return home, we’ll work with your at-home physician to provide continuity of care.
Hours
Located on the first floor of the outpatient clinic, the Quality of Life Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On weekends, you can go to the Infusion Center for quality of life services.
