CTCA owes a great deal to Dr. James Flynn. He developed the first CTCA Radiation Oncology Department, thus, allowing CTCA to house all of its traditional medical treatments under one roof.
Dr. Flynn brings a wealth of experience to his role at CTCA. He taught radiology and radiation oncology and served for 17 years as an attending physician at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey. Board certified by the American Board of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology, Dr. Flynn completed residencies in diagnostic radiation and radiation oncology at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He earned a medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
He was named a Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 1997.

In December 2006, Dr. Flynn was appointed to the position of National Clinical Director of Oncology Services to assist CTCA in bridging clinical care across its regional centers. Furthermore, Dr. Flynn serves as Chief of Staff at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center.
