For Dr. Doug Kelly, a former Canadian resident, the decision to come to the United States and practice medicine at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center was made easier once he discovered the broad access to technology that patients enjoy here.
Being able to work with highly advanced technologies, such as High-Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy and TomoTherapy® for prostate, breast and lung cancers, is critical to Dr. Kelly.
Dr. Kelly received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and went on to complete his residency in radiation oncology and fellowship in brachytherapy at Ottawa Regional Cancer Center in Ottawa, Ontario. He has delivered numerous presentations on what the latest advances in radiation therapy mean for cancer patients.
At CTCA, Dr. Kelly is proud to offer the newest radiation treatments to his patients to help lower side effects and improve treatment. He is a supporter of empowering patients to help participate in making decisions about their treatment and a believer in the whole-body treatment approach.
