Patient empowerment and innovative cancer care attracted Dr. Sanjeev Jain to Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). Previously, he worked at a large multispecialty practice in Lake Success, New York. Dr. Jain now enjoys devoting time to his patients, providing compassionate, individualized cancer treatment at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center. He combines his expertise and experience in treating breast, lung, colon, lymphomas, and other cancer types with the integrative approach of CTCA.
Before he makes treatment recommendations, Dr. Jain meticulously reviews his patients’ medical histories and diagnostic reports, and takes into account major factors, such as if they have additional medical conditions or complications.
An advocate of patient empowerment, Dr. Jain believes it’s important for his patients to learn as much as they can about their disease. He talks with them about their diagnosis and treatment options, answers their questions, and instructs them on how to prepare for chemotherapy and cope with side effects.
Dr. Jain is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Jain earned his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College. He went on to fulfill an internal medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. He also completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Jain has written research regarding head and neck cancers, myelodyplasia and lymphoma. He has also presented on the topics of cancer pain management, MALT lymphoma and multiple myeloma at various clinical conferences and meetings.
In 2002, Dr. Jain received the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. He has also been presented with the Rose and Jack Horowitz Fellowship Award in recognition of excellence in patient care.
He enjoys reading, playing basketball and performing martial arts. He also cherishes his time with his wife and two sons.
