When it comes to meeting the complex surgical needs of cancer patients, Dr. Pierre Greeff is meeting this challenge head on.
Dr. Greeff’s background includes running a thriving general surgery and surgical oncology practice, as well as training under one of the most renowned cancer surgeons in the country. He received his medical degree from Medical School of the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, where he was also a member of the surgical teaching staff.
One of Dr. Greeff’s most memorable experiences at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center was removing the tumor of a patient who had been previously told that her cancer was inoperable. A few days after surgery, she left CTCA cancer free, saying that she hadn’t felt so good in five years. It’s experiences like this that motivate Dr. Greeff to provide the exceptional care that patients come to expect at CTCA.
