CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center owes a great deal to Dr. James Flynn. He was instrumental in helping develop the center’s first Radiation Oncology Department, thus, allowing CTCA to house all of its classic medical treatments under one roof.
Dr. Flynn brings a wealth of experience to his role at CTCA. He has taught radiology and radiation oncology and served for 17 years as an attending physician at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey. Board certified from the American Board of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology, Dr. Flynn completed residencies in diagnostic radiation and radiation oncology from New York Hospital and Cornell Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
Ask Dr. Flynn what distinguishes the Radiation Oncology Departments at CTCA from other facilities and he is quick to point out two factors: “The most sophisticated equipment available for patients…and our unique care providers, who create an environment of hope and healing.”
In December 2006, Dr. Flynn was appointed to the position of National Clinical Director of Oncology Services to assist CTCA in bridging clinical care across its regional centers. Furthermore, Dr. Flynn serves as Chief of Staff at Southwestern Regional Medical Center.
