"For more than two decades, I’ve been proud to care for patients and their families at Cancer Treatment Centers of America."
Dr. James Flynn
National Clinical Director, Oncology Services & Radiation Oncologist
Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) owes a great deal to Dr. James Flynn. He developed the first Cancer Treatment Centers of America Radiation Oncology Department, thus, allowing CTCA to house all of its traditional medical treatments under one roof.
Dr. Flynn brings a wealth of experience to his role at CTCA. He taught radiology and radiation oncology and served for 17 years as an attending physician at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. Board certified, Dr. Flynn earned a medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and radiation oncology at New York Hospital and Cornell Medical Center in New York City.
The radiation oncologist was named a Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 1997.
Ask Dr. Flynn what distinguishes the Radiation Oncology Departments at CTCA from other facilities and he is quick to point out two factors: “The most sophisticated equipment available for patients, and our unique care providers, who create an environment of hope and healing.”
In December 2006, Dr. Flynn was appointed to the position of National Clinical Director of Oncology Services to assist CTCA in bridging clinical care across its regional centers.
Dr. Flynn has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a top doctor in radiation oncology.
