On most days at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center, you’ll find Dr. Gordon Robson monitoring patients he administers anesthesia to, ensuring that they are comfortable in our operating rooms, endoscopy or bronchoscopy suites and interventional radiology areas. In addition, he spends some of his early mornings in the anesthesia clinic, assessing patients and educating them about the anesthetics they will receive for their procedures.
Dr. Robson earned his medical degree and completed his internship at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, followed by residency at Parkview Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He also completed a cardiovascular anesthesiology fellowship at Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan.
Prior to joining CTCA, he practiced with Physician Anesthesia Specialists of Tulsa for 13 years. Dr. Robson also served as the chairman of the anesthesiology department at Doctors Hospital in Tulsa from 1997 to 1999.
He says of CTCA, “I enjoy the work atmosphere here because employees and patients alike tend to be positive and patients are especially appreciative of our efforts on their behalf.”
Dr. Robson is board certified in anesthesiology and belongs to the American Osteopathic Association, Tulsa Osteopathic Medical Society, Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists and the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia.
In his spare time, Dr. Robson plays the cello in several ensembles. He is happily married with three grown children and three grandchildren.
