Dr. Daniel Nader leads the interventional pulmonology program (Lung Center) at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center. Thanks to his vision and determination, CTCA is able to offer patients the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. Dr. Nader, who has been with CTCA since 1992, has performed over 1,000 bronchoscopy procedures and provided more than 2,000 High-Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatments.

Dr. Nader earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed both a residency and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, California. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.

Previously, Dr. Nader was Medical Director of a pulmonary function lab and respiratory therapy department. Today he serves as Director of the Lung Center and Vice Chief of Staff at Southwestern Regional Medical Center. In December 2006, Dr. Nader was also appointed to the position of National Clinical Director of Pulmonary/Critical Care to assist CTCA in bridging clinical care across its regional centers.

In addition, Dr. Nader was recently appointed to the position of Oklahoma Governor of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP). He is one of about 55 ACCP Governors throughout the United States and Canada. This role allows him to act as a patient advocate, making contact with local government officials to help lobby for Oklahoma issues and concerns. He also serves as an important link between the cardiopulmonary community in Oklahoma and the national body.

Dr. Nader says he is grateful to CTCA for the opportunity to use a broad range of advanced technologies to make a real difference in the lives of patients.
