“When patients come to me for care, I feel honored to be able to treat them,” says Dr. John Sibley, a chiropractor at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center (Southwestern).
Dr. Sibley earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
A Fellow of the Acupuncture Society of America, Dr. Sibley also completed post-doctoral training in both carpal tunnel syndrome and Leahy Active Release Treatment for advanced soft tissue injury.
Prior to joining CTCA, Dr. Sibley spent 25 years in private practice in Tulsa. He also served as Chairman of Chiropractic Medicine at SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa.
Additionally, Dr. Sibley is the co-founder of the Pinnacle Management Group, Inc., a Tulsa-based organization that trains chiropractic assistants. He has also published works in the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine and Chiropractic Economics.
Dr. Sibley joined Southwestern’s chiropractic team in January 2009. When asked his reason for joining CTCA, Dr. Sibley says, “I thought there was a real need for compatible medicine in the treatment of cancer patients to possibly reduce the need for pain medication and to give patients a hands-on experience through chiropractic medicine.”
He adds, “CTCA provides technology in the form of the best medical care combined with the best naturopathic medicine, chiropractic medicine, acupuncture, etc.—everything works together. And, you can’t walk into the hospital without feeling the love.”
What he enjoys most about working for CTCA, Dr. Sibley says, is spending time with his patients and building their confidence. “We have a common ground. We are seeking the best possible outcomes with the least side effects," he says.
According to Dr. Sibley, patients at CTCA receive comprehensive, individualized care. “CTCA offers each patient a thorough evaluation based on the best science and treatment protocols.” He adds, “My goal is to give patients the best chiropractic care and insight into their condition that they can take home with them and apply when they are away from the hospital.”
Dr. Sibley is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Acupuncture Society of America. He is also an association faculty member of Cleveland Chiropractic College.
