“I enjoy helping people through acupuncture and getting to know them as individuals,” says George Beltz, Dipl. Ac., a certified acupuncturist at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center.

A Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), Beltz has expertise in wellness, pain relief, back and neck pain, allergies, and headaches.

Beltz has been practicing acupuncture since 1995. Before earning certification in acupuncture, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tulsa.

Prior to joining CTCA, Beltz spent eight years as an acupuncturist/teacher at the Therapeutic Arts Center in Tulsa. There, he provided traditional acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Formulas, Tuina (Chinese Manipulation), and general natural health care. Previously, Beltz served as an acupuncturist at the Pain Evaluation and Treatment Center in Tulsa.

In addition to his professional experience, Beltz spent some time as a volunteer for The Option Institute’s Son-Rise Program dedicated to helping children with autism. He also spent four years on the MS 150 Bike Tour Committee for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

When asked why he decided to join CTCA, Beltz says, “I believe in integrative medicine. I think Eastern and Western medicines complement each other and work well together.” He adds, “It is very rewarding to be able to work in a team to help people who are undergoing cancer treatment feel better.”

According to Beltz, “CTCA is an uplifting place to work. Even though we are dealing with serious issues every day, the staff and patients have a great attitude. They work hard to support each other in a common goal.”

Beltz says, “My goal for patients is to help them feel better in the short term. In the long term, I try to improve their constitution and balance to better support their healing.”
