At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), we celebrate milestones our patients reach. Every spring we roll out the red carpet to welcome back those who are celebrating five years of cancer survivorship. We hold a grand, two-day event called Celebrate Life® at our hospital in their honor. It’s our way of congratulating and showing appreciation for many of the wonderful people who entrust their care to us and inspire us every day.
Celebrate Life includes:
- A welcome reception/dinner in our beautiful courtyard
- Breakfast the following day at the hospital
- A ceremonial tree planting (trees are planted in a local park in honor of each Celebrant)
- Hope RoundsSM (visits with patients currently in treatment to share hope and encouragement)
- A delicious lunch
- A formal ceremony featuring uplifting speeches, touching videos and musical performances
- A personalized, gold leaf on the Tree of Life in the hospital’s lobby and a commemorative plaque for each Celebrant
Each year’s Celebrate Life has its own theme, such as “Walking on Sunshine,” “Some Kind of Wonderful,” “How Sweet It Is” or “Believe.”
