One thing’s for sure—you’ll never be bored at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center.
We offer activities, classes and just good, plain fun every day of the week. Better yet, everything is open to patients and their caregivers. It’s a great way to make friends, learn about cancer-related topics and pick up new hobbies.
Join in on the Fun

Nearly every day, we hold classes that are sure to stir your creativity and imagination. Whether it's arts and crafts, knitting, sewing or cooking, you're bound to come up with some souvenirs or recipes to take home. In one recent class, guests were taught how to make and flip crêpes.
In addition, our Pastoral Care Department conducts worship and prayer services throughout the week. Every Thursday night, music, worship and singing teams from local churches present
Singspiration—a special hour-long, song service.
We also offer tours of the Radiation and Surgical Oncology departments to help you become familiar with what they do and answer your questions.
Popular classes the Education Department conducts include Breast Cancer Basics, Improving the Chemotherapy Experience and What You Need to Know about Radiation.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 3 p.m., we hold New Patient Orientation. The orientation introduces each department and covers information you’ll need to know as you begin your cancer treatment plan at Southwestern Regional Medical Center.
Nights and Weekends

Bingo night is big here! It tends to gather upwards of 30 to 40 people. We also host other after-hours activities, such as ice cream socials, game nights and presentations by authors of books on cancer-related topics. For example, breast cancer survivor, author and CURE magazine editor-at-large Kathy LaTour has presented a humorous monologue on the emotional and physical aspects of her cancer journey.
If you’re looking for a place to relax, escape to one of our two activity rooms. In one room, you’ll find a big-screen TV. Don’t miss movie night there each week. In our second activity room, you can also unwind and play a game of pool.
And perhaps best of all, we offer little escapes each weekend. Every Saturday we have special outings to local attractions and events, such as boat and RV shows and Tulsa area flea markets. To sign up for these events, just see the friendly folks at the Transportation Department desk in our lobby.
