Denise Geuder

Denise Geuder, RN, MS, CNOR is the Vice President of Patient Care Services at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center and has served as a hospital executive for more than 20 years. Her nursing career began with her undergraduate degree at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Ms. Geuder continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she completed a master’s degree in nursing. After coming to Oklahoma for her undergraduate education, Ms. Geuder remained in the city of Tulsa and has worked at several of the city’s flagship hospitals, providing a broad perspective of hospital services and structure. Ms. Geuder joined CTCA in 2003 and has embraced the whole-person approach and patient-centered emphasis wholeheartedly and believes in its power to provide hope to patients and their families.

Early in her career, Ms. Geuder earned (and has since maintained) a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential. In addition, Ms. Geuder is a member of several nursing organizations, including the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). Ms. Geuder has been very active in AORN, both locally and nationally, serving on several committees, as Chair of the Ambulatory Specialty Assembly, and as the AORN representative for the Joint Commission’s Ambulatory Professional and Technical Advisory Committee. Ms. Geuder has also served on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Blood Institute, and she is the author of several articles and chapters in two surgical nursing textbooks, focusing primarily on ambulatory surgery and leadership topics.
