At CTCA, Leak serves as the primary clinical liaison between clinicians and patients. She provides patient evaluations and consultations, as well as education. She also assists with preparing patients for their interventional radiology procedures and their follow-up needs.
Leak is dedicated to her patients. “I want my patients to feel they have been heard and that their concerns are truly important to me,” she says. “We join our patients in the fight against cancer every step of the way.”
Leak received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, in 2007. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Kennesaw State in 2012.
Prior to completing her master’s degree, Leak was a registered nurse for five years in the labor and delivery unit of an Atlanta hospital. After completing her advanced degree, she became a nurse practitioner at a private radiology practice in Atlanta. She joined CTCA in January 2014.
Leak is a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse by the State of Georgia. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Leak is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia, the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
A dedicated volunteer, Leak has given her time to the American Red Cross, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Leak enjoys spending her free time with her family, traveling and trying new cuisines.
