Gloria Barnes joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center (Southwestern) 22 years ago in 1990.
In her new role at CTCA at Southeastern Regional Medical Center (Southeastern), Barnes will be bringing over 30 years of experience in oncology nursing. Since joining CTCA, Barnes has held various positions, including bedside nursing, education and management.
At Southwestern, Barnes managed all nursing units and supported the setup of all policies and procedures, philosophy and mission, and also designed a comprehensive educational program for orientation and continuing education for all nurses and hospital staff. Barnes developed job descriptions, their evaluation process and maintained the annual nursing budget.
Barnes has proven skills in employee relations, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) compliance, customer satisfaction and service, staff motivation and training, development and administration of comprehensive stakeholder training programs, and project planning and management.
Her husband, Mark Barnes, shares in her passion in serving CTCA patients and has also transferred from Southwestern to join the team in Newnan. Barnes enjoys riding motorcycles and a relaxing day on her boat.
