At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southeastern Regional Medical Center (Southeastern), we’re devoted to bringing you comprehensive cancer care – all under one roof. With Patient Empowered Care®, we bring your medical oncologist, clinic nurse, registered dietitian, naturopathic oncology provider and nurse care manager to you.
With this approach, our patients meet with their Georgia cancer care team in one room, allowing them to enjoy greater comfort, convenience and privacy. This structure also enables us to work as a team to deliver fully integrated treatment to fight cancer on all fronts.
Here are some of the benefits our patients at our Atlanta cancer treatment center experience through Patient Empowered Care:
- Greater Efficiency - Every time you schedule a visit with your medical oncologist, appointments with the rest of the Empowerment Team are scheduled automatically.
- Added Convenience - You stay in one room and your care providers come to you, one at a time.
- Less Stress and Wasted Time - You and your caregiver can focus on healing and not worry about finding your next appointment or being on time.
- Patient Empowerment - You get all of your information and questions answered in a single setting. And your Empowerment Team communicates about your treatment daily and throughout the appointment.
How Does Patient Empowered Care Work?
As a patient at Southeastern Regional Medical Center, you and your caregiver enjoy greater comfort consulting with your care team in one room. Providers come to you, one right after another, for a focused, seamless visit. Your team meets that day to review and discuss your treatment. During your appointment, team members have the opportunity to communicate in real time and share updates.
Scheduling is fast, easy and automatically scheduled in a block of sequential appointments. When you come to the clinic for an appointment with your medical oncologist, you will be scheduled to see the other clinicians on your Empowerment Team.
You also meet with clinicians from other departments, as needed, including:
