Heidi Kussmann, ND, FABNO
Manager of Naturopathic Department & Naturopathic Oncology Provider

Heidi Kussmann has been a part of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) since 2010, first as a naturopathic oncology provider at Southwestern Regional Medical Center in Tulsa. In 2012, she joined CTCA’s newest hospital, Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Newnan, Georgia, as manager of the naturopathic department. In addition to working with patients, at Southeastern she supervises two naturopaths and communicates with other department managers to help enhance the CTCA focus on putting the patient first.

“I serve my patients as an advocate to help them better understand some of their cancer care options and as an expert in naturopathic medicine and all that it offers to support them during cancer treatment,” says Kussmann.

A Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology, Kussman earned a doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario in 2002. The college honored her with a merit achievement award, in addition to a vitality award. In 2006 she was awarded "Naturopathic Doctor of the Year" by the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Kussmann also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia.

For more than six years, Kussmann served as clinic director and naturopathic doctor for two primary care clinics she founded in southern Ontario. She implemented cancer care programs involving IV therapeutics, botanical and orthomolecular protocols using an integrative approach.

In her spare time, Kussmann enjoys cooking, playing tennis or golf, running, reading, hiking and watching funny movies. She is currently a member of the Society for Integrative Oncology education committee and a board member with the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
