Set to open on August 15, 2012, the 100-day countdown has
already begun to when Southeastern will open its doors to patients and their families from across the region.
Participants gathered at the Newnan hospital site, at 600 Parkway North, to place hope-filled, permanent marks on various areas of the hospital floor by writing their favorite scriptures
and inspirational messages.
“We do everything we can to help cancer patients live, and live with a quality of life, through a model of care that focuses on the needs of each
patient – mind, body and spirit,” said Rev. Chip Gordon, director of pastoral care at Southeastern. “These words bless the hospital, the patients and families who come here for care, and
those who serve them.”
Upon its August 15 opening, the all-digital Newnan cancer center
will feature 25 private inpatient treatment rooms, surgical suites, specialized treatment suites for endoscopy and bronchoscopy, state-of-the-art radiation and infusion therapy departments,
rehabilitation and physical therapy department, concierge services, a dining room, chapel, onsite accommodations for outpatients and their families, and more. The hospital will also
feature Varian TrueBeam™ technology, TomoTherapy® HD, digital imaging and
interventional angiography.
The Newnan hosptial will provide the same individualized, whole-
person care to treat cancer patients in mind, body and spirit as the other four CTCA hospitals. Our cancer experts
specialize in treating advanced and complex cancers with a fully integrated model that combines leading clinical treatments and technologies with scientifically supported therapies to help
manage side effects and improve each patient’s quality of life.
Southeastern joins CTCA regional hospitals in suburban Chicago, Philadelphia, Tulsa and suburban Phoenix.
