Senior Vice President Operations
David Kent joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in 2002, and has served in a variety of positions leading to his appointment in June of 2011 as Senior Vice President of Operations of CTCA at Southeastern Regional Medical Center (Southeastern). In this capacity, Kent is responsible for construction and operations, as well as strategic planning for the facility.
Prior to his appointment at Southeastern, Kent served as Vice President of Oncology Patient Services at CTCA’s flagship facility, Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern). In that role, Kent quickly established himself as a leader by working closely with the exceptional team of providers at Midwestern to enhance the innovative and compassionate cancer care that CTCA provides to its patients.
Under Kent’s leadership, Midwestern served a record number of patients while maintaining CTCA’s high service standards. Additionally, Kent spearheaded the effort to open Midwestern’s weekend program, the expansion of the stem cell program and other specialty coverage for the hospital.
Previously, Kent was responsible for the external growth of the company across the United States. He successfully spearheaded CTCA’s expansion to Philadelphia in 2005 and Goodyear, AZ, in 2008, and helped clear the way for CTCA to build the center in Newnan, GA.
Prior to his time at CTCA, Kent worked in marketing for Gateway for Cancer Research and in operations for Consolidated Freightways Corporation.
Kent is a graduate of Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN, and lives in Newnan with his wife, Michelle, and their three sons, Ryan, Lucas and Ethan.
